It’s been almost six months since WROUGHT 2014. In that time, we’ve done some reflecting, we’ve had holidays, and we’ve allowed work and study to fill up the hours where WROUGHT once was. But now slowly and excitingly, WROUGHT is seeping back in. We’ve been meeting in coffee shops again and in the empty top room of The University Arms. Over ginger beer and latte we’ve been talking funding and timelines, venues and flyers. WROUGHT 2015 is looking promising and we are excited and respectfully daunted at the prospect of doing it all again (only better).
Our main focus now is to secure some funding and a venue, but we’re also running some workshops at Theatre Delicatessen. Charlotte Blackburn, who co-founded Northern Art, approached us a few months ago to ask if we’d be involved in a one-to-one workshop programme that she’s running, and naturally we said we’d love to. This gives us a great opportunity to engage artists and audiences with one-to-one, and allows us to meet potential applicants for the emerging artist strand of WROUGHT.
The first workshop is introductory, and then we’ll be running a more developmental one later in the year. It’d be great to see you there. Whatever your experience of one-to-one (bucket-loads/nothing), you’re very welcome. It’s on Thursday 9th April 2015 in Theatre Deli on the Moor (the old Woolworths) from 6pm – 8 pm. Contact us if you have any questions.
